November

November was also really busy with work, although I did get a few chances to see some fall colours, visit a big park and ride a tandem bike...

We also had delicious 豆乳 (tou nyuu) shabu shabu. Mine was yuba (along with a variety of vegetables and tofu) cooked in soy milk (豆乳).

The soy milk in Japan is quite different from the stuff I've had the dubious pleasure of trying in N. America. In Japan, the soy milk actually tastes like tofu. Which I think it should. Not vanilla, or chocolate or what have you.

I also managed to find some time to experiment (a little) in the kitchen, with some fresh vegetables given to me by one of my English conversation students! I'll post those recipes next.

I just happened on your blog, you are living the dream. I love Japan, your pics of climbing those gorgeous montains made me green with envy.

Love the fall colours. Did you have a filter on these or is that the actual way they looked?

No filters, I usually use the positive film setting on my camera (Canon G7).
