Whew. Connected to the internet again! Actually, I've been connected for about a week, but have just been lacking the momentum to keep posting updates! So here goes...
About two weeks ago, I heard from one of the companies I had applied with, and I have a job starting in January! That's a relief! I'll be an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in a Junior High School. I'm excited - to be working again - and to view a different part of Japanese culture. I'm also kind of excited to be back in a school setting again - teaching a couple lessons for a high school soccer team reminded me of how much I've always enjoyed school. Hopefully I'll adjust and have a great time here as well.
That's most of my news at the moment - at the moment I'm doing a little teaching here and there, and trying to study Japanese with the time I have. I head to Tokyo next week for training, and then have a couple of weeks to kill. Hoping to do a bit of snowboarding - found some cheap deals. And otherwise, just enjoy a bit of time off without stress.
I'll also update this blog, mostly with adventures from November and the last week or two. I've already uploaded most of the pictures to flickr.

good to hear that your immediate future is secure . . . and that you enjoy teaching ;)
hope your free time goes well. mines about to come to an end, but I've certainly learned how to appreciate doing nothing, as well as appreciate having something to do.
