It rained intermittently through the night, but was bright and sunny by the time I woke up around 7. (Started thinking that I might not be a rain god.) I had a leisurely morning, and got everything thoroughly dried out while cooking breakfast. Headed out around 9:30ish. I should've left earlier, as today was supposed to be a long day. There was a lot of up and down, and my left knee started to bother me a little on some of the descents. But not too bad. By mid-afternoon, there were occasional rain showers. I got to Sugonorikoshi around 4. By 5 it was raining harder and steadily by 6, so I cooked in the half-open vestibule of the tent. Planning an easy day for tomorrow, just to Yakushi-dake campground.
