Swapped to get Monday off (thanks G!) and went to Tokyo Disneyland - thanks to the wonderful M, H, C & E! Fantastic girls! Had a great time pretending to be a kid again - enjoyed the teacups (much more than this poor obaasan)...
...the Mountains (Space and Big Thunder) and the Pirates and Haunted Mansion rides, the 3D show, two treehouses, two parades and the Jungle Cruise with the extremely funny tour guide. He would have been even funnier if I understood Japanese. H & M explained one of the puns, but he was spitting them out so fast and so loud (and laughing hilariously at each one) that it was impossible to keep up. Someday I hope to be able to make puns in Japanese.
Since it was Hallowe'en, the park was decorated, and lots of people were wearing costumes. Except for H with her Jack Sparrow headscarf?, the rest of us picked up ears of some sort at the gift shop conveniently located just inside the entrance. I was slightly embarrassed when I saw several schoolgirls wearing the same ears as me, but later I saw guys wearing them and felt much better.
All in all, we had a great day relaxing, laughing at Chip's nuts, knocking over small children, eating good (if rather expensive) food, taking pictures for Japanese tourists and getting them to take pictures of us, trying to talk to Spanish tourists, and just generally having fun.
