Fall photos - really not very many...

The fall was pretty uneventful – lots of work, and not much else. I did go out a couple of times to see the fall colors.

The first time I went to Fukuroda Falls and the Ryujin Big Suspension Bridge with G. It was a really nice day, and since it was Ibaraki Citizen’s Day or something there were no admission charges. Wandered around, found a nice onsen at the Daigo golf club, and then had some nice apples and soba on the way back.

The second time I went with T and M – we went out to see the Hananuki Gorge, which was a bit crowded, but beautiful.

We also ate soba at a small restaurant in Satomi, and then went down to see Seizanso – which is the former country home of Mito-Komon. Parts of the garden (like the famous iris garden) were kind of bare, but other parts were really beautiful.

Photos here and here.

I also did do a little bit of hiking (is this snake pregnant, or just well-fed?), and we did set off fireworks on the beach again.
