That's a pretty obvious thought, and not particularly deep or new, but that's what I was thinking. I like Japan, it's interesting and different from Canada, but there are still pretty much the same challenges as anywhere. C'est la vie...

We interrupt this retelling....
....of spring events to note that today is two years to the day since I got to Japan. And what of that? It's been interesting - I've enjoyed Japan, the people I've met and the experiences I've had. But the bottom line is that it's like any other place in the world I've been - if you want to enjoy life and find it interesting, you will. If you want to notice all the problems and why it's not as good as whichever other place, you can do that too. I think that applies not only to living in a place, but to just about any experience you can think of.
